Clean Energy Collective is developing solar gardens for Xcel customers in Adams, Boulder, Denver, Jefferson and Summit Counties, plus the City of Aurora. We are currently working through the land use permitting processes for each location and conducting the initial engineering and interconnection work. Here are updates for some of our locations:

Denver: CEC's plans for a community solar array at Hangar 2 at Lowry recently received approval from the Denver Landmark Commission. Click here to read more about the Lowry project in the newsletter of Denver City Council member Mary Beth Susman. Once a working Air Force base, Lowry has been transformed into a sustainable, mixed-use community. The Lowry project will show how it is possible to combine new sustainable technologies while still preserving the historic character of the location.

Boulder County: CEC's community-owned solar garden in eastern Boulder County received unanimous approval from the Boulder County Commissioners. This puts the solar garden on-track to become the first community-owned solar garden in Boulder County!

Summit County: CEC is working with the town of Breckenridge to finalize the location of their solar gardens. Summit County citizens have showed incredible support for these community solar projects, and CEC is appreciative of all the encouragement we have been getting from the Summit County community.

Get Started with Community Solar!

We are currently establishing the pricing for the panels for each of the solar gardens, and we expect to have that completed in the next few weeks. Once the pricing is established, we will contact those of you who already have a reservation to provide you with a detailed proposal to match your electrical usage with a community solar system that will fit your needs.

If you have already completed an Online Reservation Form via and submitted your Disclosure Consent Form, your spot in the upcoming array is reserved! At this time, there are no further steps for you to take, and we will notify you regarding your next action items.

If you have not submitted an Online Reservation Form and the subsequent Disclosure Consent Form, please visit click here:

Clean Energy Loans Available

Going solar has never been more affordable! The Clean Energy Collective and Sooper Credit Union have teamed up and created the Clean Energy Loan Program, the first low-cost, long-term loan program designed exclusively for Clean Energy Collective members. The Clean Energy Loan Program is the first solar panel financing program that does not require you to own your home or office building, so now everyone can own and use clean renewable energy, even renters. And with Sooper Credit Union as the lender, you know you are getting the lowest rates without any hidden loan or documentation fees. Once the community solar pricing has been finalized, CEC can show you all your options for financing.
